Chris Brown

President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and CEO, Chris leads The Property Management Company, Inc., overseeing strategy, risk, technology and people alongside the firm's day-to-day operations. With the executive team, he leads over 350 employees providing property management services to around 8,000 apartment homes nationwide.

Chris joined the company (then CCI, Inc.) as Executive Vice President in July 2023, bringing more than 20 years of international experience in property, project and operations management across the private, public and non-profit sectors. ¶ Before that, Chris led Strategy & Corporate Transformation at San Francisco-based Prime Group, working across Prime Residential, a multifamily owner/operator, and Prime Finance, a commercial real estate lending platform. In London, he built the property management division at Be Living Ltd and led property management and maintenance at Wandle Housing, a 7,000-unit affordable housing provider. He got his start in housing at Notting Hill Housing Trust, one of London's oldest and largest affordable housing providers. ¶ Chris began his career in international affairs. He served as a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State, with postings in Luxembourg, Ho Chi Minh City, Erbil (Iraq) and Algiers, and also worked for the Transatlantic Policy Network (TPN) in Brussels and Washington, DC. He holds a BA in Political Science from American University in Washington, DC, and a master's in European Integration and Development from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Brussels, Belgium.
